WILSONDALE, W.Va. — Bennie Fleming, 65, of Wilsondale, W.Va., passed away Friday, August 30, 2013, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Born June 9, 1948, at NewGround Hollow in Wilsondale, he was a son of the late Lora Evans Fleming and Goodlow Fleming of Wilsondale. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Sherman Franklin Fleming and Ray Fleming, both of Wilsondale, and one sister, Faye Tatro of Tampa, Fla.
Mr. Fleming was a coal miner and a US Army veteran, as well as a devoted father and grandfather. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats and Cincinnati Reds fan.
Survivors include his life companion, Cathy Perry of Huntington; two daughters, Machelle (Darrin) McCormick of Williamson and Teresa (Tony) Taylor of Hurricane; three grandsons and one granddaughter, Jarrid and Seann McCormick of Williamson, and Carson Taylor and MacKenzie Taylor, both of Hurricane; one brother, John P. (Patricia) Fleming, and sisters, Berta Gail Fleming (Freelin) and Blaze Starr, both of Wilsondale, Debbie (Bob) Buskell of Baltimore, Md., Mary Davis (Donnie) of Jacksonville, Fla., Betty Sharader of Lineboro, Md., and Judy (Richard) Maynard of Avon, Ohio; a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom he considered special, as well as special friends Larry (Betsy) Newsome of Wilsondale.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, September 2, at Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home at Warfield, Ky., with Robbie May officiating. Burial will take place at his old home place on a knoll in Wilsondale.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home of Inez, Ky.

Blaze, So sorry to hear about your brother passing. I met you some years back at Williamson Daily News where I helped you with an advertisement for your jewelry.
