Allison Varney

DELBARTON, W.Va. — Mrs. Allison Nicole Simpkins Varney, 20, of Delbarton, was born July 29, 1993, at Logan. She departed this life Thursday, September 19, 2013, at CAMC General Division in Charleston.

Ms. Simpkins was a 2011 graduate of Logan High School and of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death was grandmother, Zevia Simpkins.

Survivors include her parents, James and Cathy Simpkins of Holden; husband, Ethan Gage Varney; sisters, Sarah Simpkins, Megan Simpkins, Savanah Vinson and Leslie Vinson; brothers, Troy (Latonia) Vinson and Nelson (Amy) Hall; grandfather, Orie Simpkins of Mud Fork; grandparents, Lois Newsome (James Stollings) of Chapmanville and Carlos (Ella) Newsome of Lenore; aunts and uncles, Rex Earl Hensley of Mud Fork, Emma (Donald) White and Sherry Gunderman, both of Stollings, Orie (Carolyn) Simpkins of Morgantown, Camilla Hall of Lenore, Carla (Ron Jay) Vinson of Dingess, and Pam (Robert) Ellis of McConnell; cousins, Cara, Chloe and Emily Simpkins, Hannah Ellis, Brenden "Bean Bean" Wolford, Malaya Vinson, Jeremy, Eric and Christopher Pilkins, Marshall Jarvis, Tory Vinson, Alexis and Destiny McNeely, Joseph Meddings and Jayhden Smith; best friends, John and Sacha Robinette, Irene Nicole Tomblin and Brittany Mishelle Lowe, and many other family and friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Wayne Runyon and Rev. Sid Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Stonewall Hensley Cemetery at Buck Fork of Harts.

Pallbearers will be Gary Wolford, Eric Chambers, Troy Vinson Roger Scott Johnson, Rhodes Vance and John Robinette.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with special services beginning at 7 p.m. with Rev. Rick Booth officiating.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
