HARTS, W.Va. — Mr. Dennis D. "Pippie" Stollings, 83, of Harts, was born May 1, 1930, at Manila, a son of the late Willie E. and Edna Mullins Stollings. He departed this life Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.

Mr. Stollings had been a Christian since 1953, a previous Sunday School Superintendent and Wednesday Bible Teacher. He was a deacon at the Mountaineer Missionary Baptist Church at Harts, a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA since 1955.

Also preceding him in death was a son, Darrell Shane Stollings; Raymond Stollings, Ervin B. and Josephine Stollings, Ruby and Seymour Ellis, Ernie and Elbert Queen, Ida and Bob Barker, Myrtle and Eugene Webb and Glenn Perdue, and very special brother-in-law, Jimmy Sullivan.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years and 11 months, Naomi Joy Adams Stollings; daughters, Sharon (Larry) Belcher and Sandy (Clarence "Buddy") Napier; grandchildren, Tommy and Michell Napier, Larry Gene and Tonya Belcher, Terry Belcher, Timmy and Heather Napier and Alisha Belcher; great-grandchildren, Sydney Napier, Sylest Napier, Tori Taylor, Justin Napier, Logan Taylor, Colton Belcher and Caden Belcher; special sister, Mary Perdue, and special sisters-in-law, Peggy Sullivan and Oletta Stollings.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 17, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. John E. Godby and Rev. Leroy Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville is serving the Stollings family.
