VERDUNVILLE, W.Va. — Terry Lee Moore, 65 of Verdunville, departed this life Mon., Jan. 20, 2014, at his residence.

Born Oct. 22, 1948, in Logan, he was a son of Betty Moore of Verdunville and the late Samuel Moore.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Archie and Laura Moore and Manderville and Siona Plumley Dalton, and his granddaughter, Ashley Marie Davis.

Terry was a Christian; he loved God and God's love shined through him everyday, showing loving kindness to everyone. He was a friend, mentor and "Doc" to so many.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda Moore; two daughters, Michele (William) Marcum and Angela (Anthony) Konopinski; two sons, Robert Scott (Janice) Moore and Christopher (Susan) Moore; three sisters, Carol (Agie) Jarrells, Connie (Ronnie) Miller and Regina (Landville) McConnell; three brothers, Archie (Emma) Moore, Victor (Rhonda) Moore and Gregory (Beverly) Moore; 15 grandchildren, Crystal, Heather, Joshua, Lilly, Vanessa, Richard, Nicholas, Julia, Scott, Anthony, Andrea, Emily, Rachel, Christopher and Ryan, and nine great-grandchildren, Payton, Riley, Mason, Aden, Hailey, Hansel, Alionna, TJ and Xavier.

Services will be held at noon Sat., Jan. 25, at Freeman Funeral Home with Arville Cline officiating. Burial will follow at Moore-Butcher Cemetery at Dupont Road at Verdunville.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
