CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Harry J. Trickler, 89, of Chapmanville, departed this life Wed., April 9, 2014, at Trinity Health Care at Logan.

Born Jan. 31, 1925, in Logan, he was a son of the late Orville and Dora Trickler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Floyd Trickler, Sylvia Marcum, Elizabeth Combs, Walter Adkins, Henry Browning and Timothy Adkins.

Harry was a member of the Crawley Creek Christian Church, a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Avonell Trickler; six daughters, Margie Sartin, Doris Trickler and Linda Gibson, all of Dingess, Brenda Noe of Wharncliffe, and Retha Workman and Debra Wilson, both of Chapmanville; two sons, Stuart Trickler of Chapmanville and Jerry Conley of Maryland; 14 grandchildren, Kayla Sizemore, Amber Conley, James Conley, Jason Workman, Lavona Workman, Kimberly Workman, Chloe Trickler, Jamie Stevens, Joey Stevens, Carmellia Fleming, John Fleming, Chris Noe, Sammy Queen and Gena Gilman; 17 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Mon., April 14, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sun., April 13, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
