ROSSMORE, W.Va. — Lansing Edward Skutt, 75, of Rossmore, departed this life Sun., Aug. 17, 2014, in Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born Sept. 13, 1938, in New York, he was a son of the late Robert and Alberta Albright Skutt. Also preceding him in death was one sister, Florence Skutt, and one step-daughter, Darlene Marcum.

He worked as an engineer on the railroad for the Locomotive Brotherhood Engineers Unions of New York. He was a very kind hearted man that will be missed dearly.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Alfreda McCoy Skutt; one son, Robert Skutt of Finland; three step-sons, John Marcum of Sarah Ann, Jeffrey Marcum of Arizona, and Houston Marcum of Switzer; three step-daughters, Debbie (Eli) Williamson of Florida, Viola "T" Moses of California, and Josephine Kitchen of Logan; one brother, Robert Skutt of South Carolina; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at noon Mon., Aug. 25, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C.D. Wolford officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
