BIG CREEK, W.Va. — Mr. Harold F. Barker, 87, of Big Creek, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at his residence.

Born August 19, 1926, at Big Creek, he was a son of the late Herbert and Maud Sanders Barker.

Mr. Barker was a retired maintenance worker for Keyser Aluminum and a member of the North Fork Church of Christ and the VFW.

Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Opie Barker, Luther Barker and Casto Barker, and sisters, Elizabeth Fugate, Loretta Fowler and Nell Justice.

Survivors include his wife, Louella Barker; son, Scott (Mary) Barker; daughter, Anita (Bill) Sorenson; step-son, James D. (Deborah) Bell; step-daughter, Carol (Charles) Toth; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Bob (Madeline) Barker; sisters, Opal Drake and May Huguel, and a host of family and friends.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 15, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Ronnie Linville officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby where he will be honored with Military Gravesite Rites.

Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
