Laura "Nanny" A. Laning (nee Boyte), lifelong resident of Maple Shade, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the age of 83. Laura was a dedicated community member involved in many civic and charitable organizations including former member of Maple Shade Town Council, the Lions Club, Democratic Club and The Improved Order of Red Men Degree of Pocahontas. Laura was also instrumental in forming Babe Ruth Baseball in Maple Shade and was a volunteer at Deborah Hospital. Laura spent many years as a Retail Manager at John Wanamaker's before her retirement. Besides her career and dedication to her family Laura enjoyed fishing on the "Days Off," Maple Shade Fireworks, feeding the critters in her backyard and was a diehard Phillies and Eagles fan.
Laura was the daughter of the late Leon and Margaret Boyte, wife of the late Albert Laning Sr. She is survived by her devoted brother William Boyte of Maple Shade. She was the loving mother to Patricia A. Paige of Maple Shade, son Michael Lynch of Brigantine and his wife Suzan and son William Lynch of Maple Shade and his wife Diana. She is also survived by her grandchildren, William J Lynch III, Anthony Fiume, Tara Lynch Chirinos, Darryl Paige, Christina Lynch, Michael Lynch Jr., Matt Lynch, Nicolas Lynch, Lauren Belcher and Leah Belcher; great grandchildren Anaia Paige and Brayden Paige; 16 nieces and nephews; and her loyal companion Kit Kat a.k.a. Crazy. She was predeceased by siblings Leon Boyte Jr., Jane Kent, Elvina Faulkner and Richard Boyte.

Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Laura's memory to the Maple Shade Civic Activities (Fireworks) Fund. All are welcome to celebrate Laura's life on Sunday, October 30th, 2011 from noon to 3PM at Nanny's house located 38 Rose Avenue, Maple Shade, NJ 08052. Arrangements by the MARK C.
