Bissett, Geraldine M. - Brockton  
Geraldine M. (Colaluce) Bissett, 88, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Donald M. Bissett. Born July 28, 1926, in Rockland, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Sarah (Botto) Colaluce. Geraldine was a lifelong resident of Brockton and was well known and loved throughout the city. She was the Supervisor of Payroll in the Treasurers Office at Brocktons City Hall from 1970 to 1997. She was also a member of the Legal Secretary Association of Massachusetts. She was devoted to her family and is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Donald and Tina Bissett, Sallyann Carter and Joy and Michael Pell; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many wonderful friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her son, William in 2013. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Friday, July 10, 2015, at 8 a.m. thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Bowen, Roberta C. - Whitman  
Roberta C. Bowen (McIntyre), of Conyers, Ga., died peacefully on June 29, 2015 following a period of failing health. She was born at the Chelsea Naval Hospital on Dec. 29, 1942. She grew up in Malden and graduated from Whitman High School in 1960. Bobbie enjoyed traveling around the country when she finally settled in Georgia in 1974. Although, there were many miles between us she was always in our hearts and will be sadly missed. She was the daughter of the late Marjorie Marotta and stepdaughter of the late Joseph Marotta and the late Herbert McIntyre. She was also preceded in death by her son James L. Hollis Jr. and her granddaughter Jennifer Mueller Overstreet. She is survived by her sister Evelyn Atton (McIntyre) of Weymouth. Her daughter-in-law Gloria PJ Hollis of Las Vegas and her grandson James L. Hollis III and his wife Ali of Hollywood. Her son Kenneth Hollis and his wife Lynn of Hanson and their children Joseph and David. Her son William Hollis and his wife Laura of Whitman and their children Kristina Mueller and Joseph Hollis and great-granddaughter Fiona Overstreet. Her daughter Cathy DeSilva of Chelmsford and her children Sergio, Matthew and Sara. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 6, in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman. Bradlee, Jessie A. - Whitman  
Jessie A. (Dunbar) Bradlee,72, a longtime resident of Hingham died Thursday June 25 after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of 48 years to John M. Jack Bradlee. Born in Cohasset she was the daughter of the late Walter S. and Anna S. (Coburn) Dunbar. Raised in Abington, she was a graduate of Abington High School, Class of 1961 and was a member of the high school basketball team and cheerleading squad. She was a lifelong sports enthusiast, having coached youth basketball and had played tennis and participated in a womens softball league well in her forties. Jessie furthered her education attending IBM Computer School in 1962 and had worked for the First National Bank of Boston from 1961-1967. She had moved to Hingham in 1969 and became an active member of the community. She was a member of the Hingham Mothers Club and was a familiar face volunteering at the local schools. She was a member of the Old South Union Church of Weymouth where she had served as president of the churchs M&M Club. She enjoyed traveling and had many opportunities to see the world, but her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife and mother and truly loved cooking and making a loving home for her family. In addition to her husband Jack she is survived by her loving children John M. Bradlee, Jr. and his wife Darlene and Lisa A. Bradlee all of Scituate, her brother Walter S. Dunbar, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Abington and her sister Bertha Hill of CA. She is also survived by her aunt Charlotte A. Hines of Norwell, her cousins Betsy (Campbell) Walsh and Bonnie (Campbell) Dunn and her sister-in-law Barbara (Dunbar) Allsopp as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Marion C. Bradlee, her brothers Fred S. Dunbar and William S. Sanfilippo and her sister Lillian Pierce. Her services will be held on Tuesday July 7th at 10:00AM in the Old South Church, 25 Columbian St., So. Weymouth. Burial will follow in the Washington St. Cemetery, Norwell, MA. Burke, Harold M. - Kingston  
Harold M. Burke of Kingston, passed away peacefully, June 30, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 76. Harold was born in Boston. Son of Evelyn (Goodwin) and Michael Burke. Harold was a business owner for many years including Kingston Pizza and The Villa. Before retiring he was employed by the Department of Mental Health as a Resident Counselor. Beloved husband of Mary J (Capece) Burke. They recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Devoted father of Donna (Burke) Wheble and her husband Andrew of Avondale, Pa., Michael A. Burke and his wife Tracey of Plymouth, Mass., and Evelyn (Burke) OKeefe and her husband James of Mashpee, Mass. He was adored by his grandchildren, Emily and Abby Wheble, Katelyn and Michael Burke, Patrick, Kelley, Mary Kate, and Allison OKeefe, and great grandfather to Chayton Lopes. Brother of Lorraine and Douglas Keele, Hildred and the late Paul Harhen, Catherine and Louis Themistokleous and nephew of Madeline and Sidney Mros as well as an uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 2, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St., (Rte.106), Kingston. Burnham, Joan M. - Bridgewater  
Joan Marie (McMakin) Burnham, passed away at home with her family on June 25, 2015, after a brave, year-long battle with cancer, at the age of 62. She is survived by her son, Ian Charles Edward McMakin Burnham and his wife Caroline of Middleboro, and her daughter Jennifer Lynne Resnick and her husband Clay, and her grandson, Cole Cormac Resnick of Bristol, RI. She also leaves her mother, Barbara Ann Smith of Avon, and her brother Andrew Vincent Smith III of Brockton, as well as her uncles and aunt, niece and nephews, and a few close friends who were more like family to her. She is predeceased by her beloved brother, Charles Edward McMakin II, her father Charles Edward McMakin, and her brother Scott Francis Smith. A graduate of Avon High School and a longtime resident of Bridgewater and Taunton, Joan was an exceptionally hard worker and touched many lives over the years through her employment at the Avon Town Hall, Bridgewater Savings Bank, Bridgewater Public Schools, Franklin Public Schools and most recently, Eversource (formerly NSTAR). Joan was an amazingly loving and devoted mother who delighted in her kids and her grandson, and she was a dear friend to many. Joan was funny and beautiful, strong and independent; she loved the sunshine and the ocean; warm weather and birds, music and laughter. She had green eyes and a laugh that lit up the room. She was a beautiful dancer and a hot ticket. She took pride in her beautiful home and in her family and she will be forever missed.
