Dexter, Helen  
Helen Dexter, 96 years old, died in The Guardian Center, Brockton, December 12, 2014, after a long illness. She was born in New Bedford and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School in North Easton. She graduated from the Morton Hospital School of Nursing and for over 30 years was a staff nurse at Morton Hospital. She attended the Central Methodist Church in North Easton and was member of the Clover Club. She was the widow of Warren J. Dexter, police officer for the town of Easton for over 29 years. Helen is survived by her son, William Dexter and his wife Pilar of West Sand Lake, N.Y.; a grandson, Adam William Dexter of Oklahoma and sister-in- law, Marcia Dexter of Taunton. Helen is also fondly remembered by her family and friends on Prince Edward Island, Canada, where she summered. Helens son and his family want to thank Dr. Bahige Asaker, Brookhaven Hospice and the staff at The Guardian Center for all the excellent care given to Helen. A private family funeral service will be held from the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. (Rte. 138 South), Taunton, Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Douillette, Linda R.  
Linda R. (Guglia) Douillette, age 94 years, of Lakeville, formerly of Brockton, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at Morton Hospital in Taunton. She was the wife of the late Eugene F. Douillette for 60 years. Linda, daughter of the late Allessandro and Francesca (Pistone) Guglia, was born in Vizzini, Sicily, and immigrated to the United States in 1924. She was a resident of Brockton for 77 years, where she worked as a hairdresser and sales clerk. In 2001, she moved with her husband to Lakeville to be closer to family. She was cared for at Island Terrace Nursing Home, Lakeville, for the past month. She was a communicant of Saints Martha and Mary Church in Lakeville and enjoyed homemaking and sharing her love with family members and friends. Her cooking skills were legendary among family members and friends. She was a huge fan of the late Elvis Presley. She is survived by her two sons, Ronald J. Douillette and Alan E. Douillette and his wife Jean, all of Lakeville; two sisters, Clair Buckley of Stoughton and Mary Hardy and her husband Wayne of Brockton; six grandchildren, Steven Douillette of Somerville, Sarah Douillette of Waltham, Laura Douillette of Marlboro, Jessie Douillette of Whitman, Joanna (Douillette) Varvoutis of Billerica, David Douillette of Worcester; nine nephews and four nieces. She was the grandmother of the late Dawn C. Douillette, the sister of the late Salvatore Guglia, Lena (Guglia) Beddia, Carl Guglia, and John Guglia. A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 12 p.m. in Sts. Martha & Mary Church, 315 Bedford Street, Lakeville. Visitation will take place also Saturday, December 13, 2014, prior to the funeral Mass from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville. Interment at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lindas name to Sts.
