Algimantas Stasaitis

Algimantas Stasaitis, 71, of Brockton, died Dec. 10, 2013. Born in Lithuania, he lived in a refugee camp in France before coming to the U.S. in December 1951. He graduated from high school in Kennebunkport, Maine, and later earned an Aeronautical Engineer degree from B.U. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was stationed at Lompoc AFB, Calif. He retired from the dry cleaning industry and enjoyed World War II history and playing golf and cards. Algimantas was the beloved son of Sofija Stasaitis and the late Juozas Stasaitis; brother of Grazina Krauss and her husband William of Douglas and the late Kestutis Stasaitis; uncle of Alison Dulak and Andrea Helie and a great-uncle of 5.
