Bruce F. Berry

Bruce Francis Berry, aged 70 years, of Middleboro, formerly of Brockton, died on Friday, May 3, 2013, at the Golden Living Center Oak Hill, Middleboro. He was born in Waltham, son of the late Ralph F. and Helen A. (Wladyszewski) Berry. He was the husband of the late Linda Gallante, and the former husband of Catherine (Sudbey) Berry, mother of his children and his best friend. He served in the United States Navy, as a Second Class Ship Fitter on the U.S.S. Maury. Bruce was a retired machinist at the Polaroid Company. He was a member of Baalis Sanford Lodge A.F. & A.M. Brockton. He was a former Scout Master for Troop #4 for 13 years. Bruce was also a member of the Connecting Rods Car Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and boating. During his lifetime he rescued several birds and animals. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Survivors include his former wife, three sons, Michael R. Berry of New Bedford, John J. Berry of Carver, and Matthew Berry of Middleboro, a daughter, Krista M. Spencer of Brockton, 5 grandchildren, Jocelynn Berry, Andrew Berry, Alexis Spencer, Zoey Spencer, and Isabella Berry, several nieces. He was father of the late Robert S. Berry and brother of the late Frances Quirion. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 8, from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro, with a prayer service to be held at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
