Lucille M. Brown

Lucille Lucy M. (Pearson) Brown, age 85, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family Monday, June 30, 2014. She was the loving wife of the late Charles A. Brown. Born Dec. 20, 1928, in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Margaret Pearson. Lucy lived in Brockton all of her life and had worked for many years as a cake decorator. She was past president of the Pythian Sisters and enjoyed bowling, crocheting, her family and volunteering her time with many projects in the area. Lucy was a member of Christ Congregational Church in Brockton where she sang in the choir and played the hand bells. Lucy is survived by four children, Sueann Farrell and her husband Jeff of Mansfield, Judy Langlais and her husband Jim of Sanford, Maine, Ellen McGuire of Rochester, N.H., and Charles A. Brown II and his wife Laura of Manchester, N.H. She is also survived by a foster daughter, Sandy Bjorkman; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Lucy was the sister of the late Melvin and Lester Pearson. Visitation will take place Monday, July 7, 2014, from 5-7:30 p.m. at Christ Congregational Church, 1350 Pleasant St., Brockton. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 12 p.m. at Christ Congregational Church. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery.
