Robert R. Frye

Robert R. Rob Frye, age 50, of Middleboro died unexpectedly July 6, 2013, due to injuries from an auto accident. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl A. (Smith) Frye of 26 years. Born Dec. 13, 1962, in Framingham, he was the son of the late Russell A. and Nancy A. (Nelson) Frye. Rob was a graduate of Whitman Hanson Regional High School and had lived in Middleboro since 1993. He worked for over 25 years for Sysco of Boston as a driver and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a big do it your selfer, an amazing carpenter, wood worker and auto repairer. He was known as quite a comedian, always telling jokes and making people smile. He was also a great cook, loved his cats, enjoyed eating at Seafood Sams and loved walking the canal with his wife. In addition to his wife Cheryl, he is survived by his loving son, Christopher Frye of Middleboro; six sisters, Susan Cleveland of Ashland, Sandra Staples of N.H., Deborah Hamblin of Manomet, Donna Murphy of Fla., Roberta Quimby of Hanson and Robin Norton of Upton; one brother, Russell Frye Jr. of Framingham; and several nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Robert will be forever missed by all. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 12, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St., Lakeville. Interment will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
