Dimitrios Antonopoulos, 62, of Norton, formerly of Easton and Quincy, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at home, under the care of his family. He was the husband of Janet (Menendez) Antonopoulos of Norton. Born in Kydonies, Greece, Dec. 16, 1950, a son of Vaios and Aglaia (Georgantas) Antonopoulos of Brockton, he was raised and educated in Greece and came to the United States at the age of 15 and was a 1969 graduate of Brockton High School. He continued his education at UMass-Dartmouth, graduating in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in Engineering. He advanced his education at Northeastern University in Boston earning a master's degree in Engineering. Dimitrios was employed as a structural engineer. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid golfer and football enthusiast. He cherished his time with family and friends. In addition to his wife Janet, and his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Zoe Antonopoulos of Quincy; a stepdaughter, Heather Kelly of Norton; a brother, George Antonopoulos and his wife Donna of Gilford, N.H.; two nephews, Vance Antonopoulos of Brockton and Nicholas Antonopoulos of Marlboro; and his former wife, Cynthia Lewis. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington St. (Rte. 138), Easton.
