Francis R. Ahearn Obituary
Francis R. Frank Ahearn, a Stoughton resident for over 60 years formerly of Dorchester and a United States Army Veteran, passed away at home on Tuesday July 9, 2013. He was 83 years old and the beloved husband of the late Shirley T. ( LeClair ) Ahearn. He is survived by his son Brian P. Ahearn of Stoughton, his two grandchildren, Alexandra Ahearn of Norton and Brian Ahearn of Stoughton , his sister Arlene Bombardier of Taunton and his brother Al Ahearn of Connecticut. Frank was also a brother to the late Ray Ahearn, Jim Ahearn, Helen Zarella, Joe Ahearn and Gene Ahearn. Born April 3, 1930 in Boston,Massachusetts he was the son of the late Phil and Ann ( McCarron ) Ahearn. He was employed as a Foreman with Armstrong World Industries for over 34 years. He attended and was a former communicant of St. James Church in Stoughton. PFC Ahearn proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer . He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Visiting hours will be held on Friday July 12, 2013 from 5 | 8p.m. in the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Note: His funeral service with military honors will be held at 7:30p.m. prior to the con- clusion of the visiting hours. All are welcome to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph,MA 02368-4633 in Franks memory would be appreciated.
