Gerald D. MacLellan, 80, of Brockton died quietly at home surrounded by his family Aug. 20, 2013. Gerald was born to the late Angus and Maryanne MacLellan; and was raised and educated in South West Margaree, Nova Scotia, Canada. He moved and settled in Brockton in 1955. Gerald was an auto worker for 30 years, working for General Motors and a proud member of the UAW Union. He retired in 1993. He was a wonderful husband and father and enjoyed a quiet life surrounded by family and good friends. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dolores (Muise) MacLellan; his two daughters, Patricia Stone and her husband Rocky of Plymouth and Rose Costello of Quincy; his two grandchildren, Kristi (Costello) Andrews and her husband Robert and Ryan Costello; and his three great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Kennedy and Olivia. Gerald was also predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Spillane and James MacLellan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton. Visiting hours and burial are omitted.
