Hazel I. Haskell BROCKTON Hazel I. (Allerby) Haskell, 81 years, of Brockton, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at West Acres Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Charles F. Haskell. Hazel was born in Abington and raised and educated in Brockton, a daughter of the late James and Ora (LaMontagne) Allerby. She remained a lifelong resident of the city. She was a bingo player and enjoyed reading and crocheting. Hazel is survived by 12 children, Charles Haskell Jr. and his wife Lorraine of Plympton, George Haskell and his wife Cheryl of North Carolina, Hazel Duff and her husband John, Janet Reed and her husband John, David Haskell and his wife Fran, Linda Cruise and Ruth Betts and her husband Keith, all of Brockton, James Haskell and his wife Carol of Florida, Vivian Johnson and her husband Frank of Foxboro, Norma Haskell and Paul of Middleboro, Barbara Haskell of South Carolina and John Haskell and his wife Jane of Plymouth. She also leaves many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Milton and Joseph Allerby. Funeral service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Monday at 11:30 a.m. Burial in New King Cemetery in Taunton.
