Herman Abber HYANNIS Herman Abber, of Hyannis, formerly of Brockton, entered into rest Nov. 29, 2009, at the age of 81. He was the loving husband for 55 years to Charlotte (Baskin) Abber; beloved father of Carol and Jonathan Braverman, Russell and Leslie Abber, Jeffrey and Maureen Abber and Scott and Deborah Abber; the best Papa to Allison and Jared Braverman, Anne, Zachary, Caitlin, Brittany, Benjamin and Sophie Abber; brother of the late Louis and Christine Abber, Barney Aberblatt, Sally Lourie and Lillian and Fred Miller; brother-in-law of David and Evelyn Baskin and the late Ruth and Leo Launer; loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington St., Canton, today, Dec. 1, 2009, at 1 p.m. Interment in Zviller Cemetery, West Roxbury. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Carol and Jonathan today following the interment until 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and at his late residence Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 7-9 p.m. only. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Cape Cod Synagogue, 145 Winter St., Hyannis, MA 02601, or to the VNA of Cape Cod Hospice, 434 Rte. 134, Suite D3, South Dennis, MA 02660.
