Madeline F. Lowe Obituary
Madeline F. (Sessine) Lowe, age 75 years, of Middleboro, passed away Feb. 23, 2014, at home, surrounded by her loving family, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Richard A. Lowe. She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Francis and Madeline (Vincent) Sessine. She was a graduate of Brockton High School and attended Bridgewater State College. Madeline also attended LaBaron Hair Academy, Brockton, in 1966, and went on to work for several hair salons into the early 1970s, when she returned to LaBaron Hair Academy as an instructor. In 1977, she opened Madeline Unisex Salon, and in 1981 she was joined by her daughter, Anna, until 2004. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed quilting, pottery, knitting, painting murals, gardening, and sculpturing. She will be remembered for her spirit of Christmas, and her love for her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Anna M. and her husband Michael Rousseau, Annette R. Desrosiers, all of Middleboro; three sisters, Joyce Lawson of Wareham, Donna Sullivan of Bridgewater, Anita Read of Kingston; two grandchildren, Stephanie Cannon and Daniel Vincent Desrosiers; three great-grandchildren, Mia Burgess, Brian Cannon Jr., and Brody Cannon. She was sister of the late Diane West, and grandmother of the late Rene Frances Desrosiers. Visiting hours will be held in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro, Thursday, Feb. 27, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home Friday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre St., Middleboro, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the Jimmy Fund, P.O.
