Michael J. Schavrien, 58, of Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton, died unexpectedly March 8, 2013. Raised in Medway, Mike attended Berkley College of Music and loved playing in local bands. He was an electrician, later graduating as an electrical engineer from Roger Williams University. He worked at HC Stark in Newton. Mike loved playing his bass guitar and recently played for the band Fat Cat Blue. He enjoyed golfing, skiing and his favorite teams were the Red Sox and the Pats. A quiet and selfless family man, Mike was known for making awesome cups of tea for his girls. Family vacations were always unforgettable with Mike. Mike was the son of Dorothy and William Schavrien of Medway; beloved husband of Christine (Murphy) Schavrien for 32 years; loving father of Katharine Cox (and her husband Jason) of Brockton, Alexander and Megan, both of Bridgewater; brother of Steven Schavrien (and Alice) of Athol, Ronald Schavrien (and Karen) of Mendon and Diane Anderson (and Eric) of Bellingham; and an uncle of the Murphy and Schavrien nieces and nephews.
