Richard J. Ricky Porazzo, 48, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died April 6, 2013. He was a 1982 graduate of Brockton High School, where he ran track. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1993-1994 and was a firefighter for the city of Brockton since 2002, currently at Station 6. He enjoyed playing darts, fishing and photography and was a former member of Brockton Striders. Ricky was the son of Claire (Carter) Porazzo of Carver and the late Lt. Robert L. Porazzo, BFD; father of Alexandra Porazzo; brother of Robert L. Porazzo Jr., Lakeville F.D. and his wife Kathy of Middleboro and Sandra Porazzo Perry and her husband Paul of Carver; uncle of Joshua Oliveira and Robert Porazzo III; husband of Julie A. (Goode) Porazzo. All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday 2-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Chapel at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Thursday at 8 a.m., funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Edith Stein Parish and burial at St. Patricks Cemetery.
