Obituary Condolences

Richard "Dick" Tyler, 52, of Webster, passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side on Tuesday, September 3 at UMass Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. Dick leaves behind his beloved wife Judith Chaput Tyler and their children Kelsey Tyler and Ryan Tyler of Westborough, Jason Cabana, Jodi Cabana Smenda and Julie Cabana of Webster; and his grandchildren, Joshua Cabana of Boylston and Jayce and Jameson Smenda of Webster. He also leaves his mother Marilyn Ekholm Tyler and his brother David Tyler of East Bridgewater. He is predeceased by his father, Herbert Tyler. Dick was born in Brockton and graduated from East Bridgewater High School in 1979. He graduated from WPI in 1983 with a Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Systems and went on to get his MBA from Nichols College. Dick worked for Bose Corporation in Framingham for over 25 years in both Manufacturing and Home Entertainment Product Development. He was passionate and dedicated to his job and co-workers at Bose and considered them his second family. Dick was a good friend to everyone he met and truly lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time boating on Webster Lake, golfing with friends and cooking for his family. Dick was an avid football fan and also enjoyed traveling the world with those closest to him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, September 8 from 3-6 p.m. in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home located at 91 Central St. Auburn. His funeral will be held in the funeral home on Monday September 9 at 11 a.m. Burial will be held privately. For those who wish, contributions may be made in Dick's memory to the Richard S.
