Robert A. "Bobby" Walsh of West Bridgewater died unexpectedly in his home May 12, 2012, at the age of 51. He was the beloved husband of Robyn (Gomes) Walsh; father of Austin Walsh; brother of Joseph Walsh of West Bridgewater, Stephen Walsh of Sagamore Beach, Nancy (Walsh) Slade of Carmel, Calif., and the late John Walsh and Brian Walsh. Bobby is also survived by many nieces, nephews and his extended Gomes family. Bobby was born in Waltham, a son of Joanne F. (Beagan) Walsh and the late John J. Walsh. Bob was a plasterer by trade but had many talents. He loved to cook, read Russian literature and play his guitar and violin. Bob had a rare sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Bob's happiest times were spent in the company of his son Austin, watching him grow and develop his skills in sports and other activities. All who knew Bob were blessed and he will be deeply missed and remembered always. Bobby graduated from East Bridgewater High School and attended Bridgewater State College and Massasoit College. A funeral service will be held in the East Bridgewater Prophett-Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., Friday, May 18, 2012, at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be Thursday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Austin Walsh Educational Fund, c/o Susan Robert, Eastern Bank, P.O.
