Steven Edward Finch, 43 years old, lifelong resident of Middleboro, died unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at Jordan Hospital, Plymouth. He was the beloved husband of Nicole M. (Turney) Finch. Born in Middleboro, he was the son of William and Sharon (Gaskin) Finch of Middleboro. He was a graduate of Middleboro High School, and was employed as an auto-technician at Prime Honda in West Roxbury. Steve was known as a handyman and could fix anything. Fast cars and motorcycles were two of his many passions. He lived life to the fullest. Nothing meant more to him than being with his children and most recently his grandson, who was the greatest joy of his life. He was a "father" to all his children's friends who all looked to him for guidance and support, especially when they needed their cars fixed. He enjoyed music, especially Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley. He is survived by his parents, his wife, two sons, Steven E. Finch Jr. and Jacob Burr of Middleboro; three daughters, Ashley M. Finch of Middleboro, Nicole L. Finch and Jenna Burr, both of Middleboro; three brothers, William R. Finch of Plympton, Scott A. Finch of Carver, and Andrew W. Finch of Middleboro; two sisters, Ginny Cabral of Taunton, Kelly J. Otto of Middleboro; a grandson, Niko Melville of Middleboro; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family; his many, many friends, and lifelong best friend, Jimmy Cutting of Middleboro. He also leaves behind his pets, Cash, Samantha and Lily. Visiting hours will be held in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro, Sunday, Sept. 9, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
