Veronica Black

Veronica (Quintal) Black, age 74, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018, at her home, overlooking the pond, surrounded by those that love her. Veronica was one of 3 kids born in Plymouth. She was the beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Minnie (Costa) Quintal. She was also known as Auntie Barbie to many of her nieces and nephews. Veronica lived in Plymouth for most of her life. Throughout the years, she had worked many factory jobs; including Solo manufacturing, Friskies, and Tech Etch. She had also worked as a meat wrapper for the Purity Supreme Supermarket as well as First National Food Stores. She was a devout Catholic and attended the Church of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha in West Plymouth, currently known as St. Kateri Tekakwitha. She loved listening to country music, watching the Boston Red Sox and spending time with her family. She traveled a bit, Tennessee, California, New York, Maine and Germany. She was a member of the VFW Post 1822 Ladies Auxiliary as well as the American Legion Post 40. Besides her husband Wayne, Veronica was the loving mother of Charles "Chuck" Rinne of Plymouth, Cheryl Rinne of Crooksville, Ohio, and Laurie Black-Leone and her husband Peter Leone of Carver. She also leaves her sister, Joanne Quintal of Plymouth, and was predeceased by her brother, George Quintal of Stetson, Maine. And she was also the cherished grandmother of Peter Wayne Leone.
