William A. Granfield, age 69 years, of Lakeville, died Thursday, March 6, 2014, at South Shore Hospital, Weymouth. He was the husband of Carolyn J. (Quinn) Granfield. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of Louise R. (Rudolphi) Hubacheck and the late John W. Granfield. He was a graduate of Middleboro Memorial High School, and served in the U.S. Army. He attended New England School of Art. He was a carpenter. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, and gardening. Survivors include his wife, his mother, a daughter, Angela L. Clayton of Middleboro; two grandchildren, Nickolas Clayton, and Emma Clayton; three brothers, John Hubacheck, Stephen Hubacheck, Carl Hubacheck; four sisters, Anita Mola, Linda Greenwood, Anna Hubacheck, Joyce Shaw; several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro, Monday, March 10, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home Tuesday, March 11, at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Sts. Martha and Mary Church, Bedford St., Lakeville, at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at Hope Rest Cemetery, Highland St., Middleboro. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chronic Disease Fund Assistance Program, 6900 North Dallas Parkway, Suite 200, Plano, TX 75024.
