Susan A. Von Malder, 70, of Cataumet and formerly of Middleboro died unexpectedly March 15. Susan was the loving daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn Moore of Bridgewater. A graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham High School, Class of 1962, Susan was an active member of the monthly class gatherings. She raised her family in Middleboro and as a young mother was a member of the Middleboro Mothers Club and a Cub Scout den mother. She was a past member of the Bridgewater Lions and past member of the Order of Eastern Star. Susan was currently working at Dr. Seperskys in Middleboro, a job she loved and enjoyed for over 30 years. Susan married Harry on May 7, 1995, and the two enjoyed traveling, gardening and watching birds in their yard. She had many passions, quilt making, quahogging, weaving Nantucket baskets, belly button weekends, but most importantly being with her family. She was the loving wife of Harry J. Von Malder of Cataumet; loving mother of Corinne M. Darling and her husband Jared of Lakeville, Daniel M. Colby of Nev., Kevin M. Colby and his wife Sue of Bridgewater, and Amy M. Anderson and her husband Spencer of Middleboro; loving Nana of Emma, Brody, Taylor, Dylan, Catrina, Amanda, Carly, Riley Jayne, and Clara; former wife of Clifton M. Colby of Abington; and also survived by many dear relatives, friends, and co-workers. She will also be missed by Louie, her beloved cockatiel. A funeral home service will be held Thursday, March 20, at 11 a.m. at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4-8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Mass Audubon Society, 208 South Great Rd., Lincoln, MA 01773.
