Richard F. Perrault Sr. Obituary
Richard F. Perrault Sr. of Plymouth died April 7, 2014, in Brigham and Women's Hospital after a brief illness, at the age of 80. Richard was born in Brockton, son of the late Grace C. (Harger) and Edward A. Perrault. Mr. Perrault was raised and educated in Brockton graduating from Brockton High School in 1953 and had lived the past 17 years in Plymouth, where he moved after spending 30 years in Bridgewater. Richard worked as a labratory analyst for Procter and Gamble for 36 years and was a proud Korean Navy veteran. Richard's hobbies included hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Cedar Gun Club in Hanson. He was an avid New England sports fan. He was a former member of the Bridgewater Lions Club and he was a volunteer and supporter of the St. Vincent's De Paul Food Pantry in Bridgewater. Richard will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He was quick with a joke and always had a smile on his face. He was the loving husband of Carol A. (Lundin) Perrault; father of Richard Jr. and his wife Linda of N.Y., Ann Church and her husband William of Berkley, Linda Locantore and her husband Rocco of Chatham, David and his wife Bonnie of East Bridgewater and Scott and his wife Stacey of Conn.; grandfather of twelve; great-grandfather of eight; brother of Celia Cashman and the late Janice Murray, Lorraine Richard and Edward Perrault. Richard also leaves behind devoted cousins, William and Katherine Patton and Eva and Walter McGuiness; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater, Monday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas, Bridgewater, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 p.m. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Monday at 12:30 p.m. Donations in honor of Richard may be made to the Open Shelves Food Pantry, 96 Myricks Street, Berkley, MA 02779.
