Margaret Alberta (Corthell) Asack of West Bridgewater passed away April 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 96. Born, raised and educated in Whitman, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Hayes) Corthell. After marrying, moved to West Bridgewater in 1946 and lived in the same home for 68 years. Mrs. Asack worked at the Raynham-Taunton Dog Track in the ticket room for many years where she met many of her long time friends. Mrs. Asacks husband Paul owned and operate Jays Caf Inc. in West Bridgewater for 42 years. An avid sports fan she enjoyed following all sports. She especially enjoyed following two grandsons playing football for Duke University and her youngest grandsons Track and Field career at Lynchburg College, Va. Mrs. Asack also enjoyed summers in S. Dennis and winters in Jensen Beach, Fla. Alberta is survived by her two children. Philip Asack and his wife Deborah of Westwood, and Nancy Asack Wilson and her husband Brian of Sagamore Beach. Sister of Robert Corthell and his wife Frances of Bridgewater and the late Richard Corthell, Barbara Lounge and Mary Benson. Grandmother of Zack and Paul Asack of Westwood and Gregory Wilson of Sagamore Beach, aunt to many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service in the East Bridgewater, Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring Street, East Bridgewater, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday 5 - 8 p.m. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
