Mary Anne (Kinnaly) Lavigne, 72, of Brockton, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Patrick F. Frank Lavigne. Born April 9, 1942, in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Kinnaly and Muriel (Cronin) Kinnaly. Mary attended Girls Latin High School in Boston and was a graduate of Stonehill College where she received her bachelors degree in teaching. She was a teacher for the Brockton schools for many years. Mary loved teaching children and helping them expand their minds. Her life was filled with happiness when she was surrounded by her family and friends or listening to the Red Sox. Summers on Lake Maranacook and walking around Disney World were Mary's favorite vacation spots. She is survived by her children, Suzanne Chambers and her husband Timothy of Tampa, Fla., and Terence Lavigne and his wife Chanda of Raynham; her grandchildren, A.J. Chambers, Ryan Lavigne and Emma Lavigne; her siblings, Eileen Thietten and her husband Jay of Vermont and Gene Kinnaly and his wife Jo of Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Friday, May 2, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
