Veronica M. (Keane) McGill, 87, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died peacefully May 9, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was former telephone operator and teachers aide at Sacred Heart School and enjoyed baking and cooking for her family. A daughter of the late John and Bridie (Cody) Keane, she was a communicant of St. Edward/St. Edith Stein Church all her life. Veronica was the wife of the late James A. McGill Jr.; beloved mother of James F. Jay McGill and his wife Margaret of Falmouth, Susan Cassiani and her husband John of Raynham and Ann Marie McGill of Brockton, her caretaker; loving grandmother of Carolyn and her husband Chris Bagge of Quincy, Pamela Cassiani of Newton, Katelyn, Allyson and Daniel McGill, all of Boston, and Andrew McGill of Falmouth; dear sister of Rita Giovanoni of West Bridgewater and the late Jane, Joan and Ann Keane, Mary Jerome, Katharine Holmgren and John and James Keane; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.
