Lena R. (Mennella) Gisetto, age 102 years, of Bourne, formerly of Middleboro, died Monday, May 12, 2014, at her home. She was the wife of William A. Gisetto, who predeceased her in 1974. Born in Boston, Sept. 16, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Angelina (Carbone) Mennella. Lena had been a conductor for the M.T.A. in Boston for many years, and had started several bakeries in the Boston area. Lena and her husband owned and operated the family gas station in North Middleboro, which she continued to run after her husbands death. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, gardening, cooking, and painting. She was an avid reader her entire life. Survivors include three sons, Lawrence E. Gisetto of Bourne, William and his wife Patricia Gisetto, John and his wife Betty Gisetto, all of Middleboro; four daughters, Jeanette Ducharme of Lakeville, Terri DiLeo of N.J., Rose Marie Lewis of N.J., Angelina Marie Lovell of Middleboro; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and extended family. She was sister of the late Charlie Mennella, and Theresa and Mary Carbone. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, May 18, from 6-8 p.m. in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro.
