Ryan A. Copeland, 27, of Bridgewater, died unexpectedly of natural causes June 6. Ryan was the loving son of Skip and Kathleen (Howland) Copeland of Bridgewater. He was a graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham High School, Class of 2005, where he played varsity soccer. He earned a degree in sociology from Bridgewater State University, Class of 2011, and was currently working for Spillanes Nursery. He previously worked at College Town Mobile, Larrys Lawn Care, and Bridgewater Recycling. He loved hunting, fishing, and was an avid coin and antique collector. He loved being with his family and friends, working on his jeep, and he was excited about his new lawn business. Ryan was the loving son of Irving W. III and Kathleen (Howland) Copeland of Bridgewater; brother of Danica R. Packer and her husband Robert J. Packer Jr. of Taunton; and loving uncle of Jayson; grandson of Eveleen B. Sherman, Ruth L. Copeland and Joseph A. Schuster, all of Bridgewater; nephew of Robert S. Sherman of West Bridgewater, John R. Howland of Brockton, Linda J. Amaral of Bridgewater, Janet M. Childs of Salem, and Michael J. Schuster of Bridgewater; boyfriend of Allison M. Shrago of Bridgewater. Ryan leaves behind many cousins and friends who loved him and he will be greatly missed. A funeral home service will be held at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater, Friday, June 13, at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4-8.
