Irene Mobark Obituary
Irene "Tootsie" (Evans) Mobark of Lakeville passed away June 20, 2014, at the age of 75, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of 53 years to Louis of Lakeville and Florida; devoted mother to Lou and his wife Carol of Lakeville, Scott and his wife Michele of Middleboro and Dave of Middleboro; sister of Barbara Karlson of Wareham, Sonny Evans of Sandwich, Carol Lincoln of Brockton; and stepdaughter to the late Reed Crockett of Brockton. Born May 6, 1939, and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Eldon and Delia (DeForge) Evans of Brockton. She enjoyed wintering with Lou for the past 23 years at their home in Florida with the many friends they've met along the way. Her many passions included video games (Zelda was her favorite), soaps, Elvis, lighthouses, state quarters, Good & Plenty candy, Circus Peanuts, Munchos, Appian Way Pizza, Dunkin Donuts iced coffee, Cape Cod Cafe pizza and watching the Red Sox. She also enjoyed dancing like crazy to the oldies, Facebooking with her countless friends and cooking her specialties- hot dog stew, chow mein and spaghetti and meatballs - making sure "the old man" always got his baked potato and "slab of raw meat". However, she was most passionate about spending time with her family, which included her many nieces and nephews and 7 grandchildren - to whom she devoted herself and who affectionately referred to her as "Shorty". Her grandchildren included Scott Jr. (26), Melissa (24), Matt (20), Mike (17), Jessie (16), Alex (11), and Merry (8). She sincerely loved everyone and will be dearly missed by all. Relatives and friends invited to attend visiting hours in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, at 280 Bedford Street, in Lakeville, Monday, June 23, from 4 to 8. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at Saints Martha & Mary Church, at 10 a.m., in Lakeville. Interment at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Middleboro immediately following.
