Mario J. Cogliano, of Middleboro, formerly of Brockton and South Boston passed away suddenly on July 30, 2014 at the young age of 71. Beloved husband of Janice (Capelotti) Cogliano. Loving father of Michael Cogliano of Brockton, Cheryl Goolsky and her husband Steve of Brockton and David Cogliano of Brockton. Dear son of Elizabeth (Olivieri) Cogliano of Abington and her late husband John Cogliano. Devoted brother of Nancy Cavallini of Braintree, Eleanor Kielczweski of Whitman, Elaine Savage of So. Boston and the late Rose Fitzgerald. Proud grandfather of Nicholas and Sarah Goolsky. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mario was born in So Boston where he grew up and graduated high school. He was in the U.S. Army in the early 1960s. His interests included fishing, going to the race track and he was an avid sports fan. Mario loved spending time with family, and always enjoyed helping others. His sense of humor always left people with a smile. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral home, 69 So. Franklin St., Holbrook until 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
