Joseph Fratalia, 70, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at home under the care of his family and hospice, following a period of failing health. He was the husband of Julia (Cashin) Fratalia of Duxbury. Born April 14, 1944, in Boston, he was the son of the late Antonio and Iride (Gisseline) Fratalia. Joseph was a lifelong resident of Brockton, graduating from Brockton High School, Class of 1962. He was employed as a mechanic and loved old cars and hot rods. In addition to his wife he is survived by his siblings, Anthony Fratalia of Whitman, Gino Fratalia of Brockton, Angelo Fratalia of Milton and Albert Fratalia of Florida. He was the father of the late Joseph J. Fratalia. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 21, 2014, at 12 p.m. in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
