Manuel C. Ramos, 86, of Brockton, died August 22, 2014. Born in Madeira, Portugal, he moved to Brockton in 1978 and was a dishwasher at Christos for 15 years. A devoted family man, he enjoyed walking, wine making and gardening. In Portugal, he was a proadobarco - master boat front maker. Manuel was the beloved husband of Silvina (Pestana) Ramos for 64 years; loving father of Maria Chaves (and Antonio) of Freetown, Celeste Reynolds (and Joe) of Portugal, Faustina Andrade (and Manuel) of East Bridgewater, Judy Monteiro (and Manuel) of Brockton, Teresa Kinan (and Andy) of Newport, R.I., Rita Azevedo (and Giovani) of Brockton, Alzira Guedes (and Orlando) of Bristol, R.I., Manuel Ramos (and Veronica) of Middleboro, John Ramos of Brockton and the late Manuel and John Ramos; devoted grandfather of 17 and great-grandfather of many; brother of Judite Ramos of Spain and the late Ernesto and Luis Ramos; and an uncle of many.
