Julia M. Miglin Obituary
Julia M. (Grigas) Miglin, 98, of Avon and Florida, passed away August 22, 2014. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Miglin. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Krankevich) Grigas. She and her husband built a home in Avon where she lived until her passing. Julia worked for many years in the shoe industry in Brockton, where she gained a fine reputation as a supervising stitcher. She later became a pricer for Footjoy, which she found to be challenging, but stimulating. She loved doing her yard work. She planted flowers each spring and even planted a small vegetable garden this summer. Julia was a member of the YMCA and enjoyed using the facilities and meeting new people. She was always ready to say yes to travel. She and her husband traveled extensively in the United States. After his passing, she continued to travel. In her mid-eighties she traveled to Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji with a group of friends. Her favorite vacations were cruises. She was still up to a cruise in her nineties when she cruised to Hawaii at age 94. She felt fortunate to have residency in Pinellas Park, Fla., where she had many friends and activities to enjoy. She was the loving sister of the late Jennie (Grigas) Cirelli and her husband John N. Cirelli. Jennie and John were the founders of Cirelli Foods, which was located in Brockton for many years before moving its operation to a site in Middleboro. Julia leaves 4 nieces, Jean Kelleher of Norton, Rita Farry Shields of Maine, Roberta Ann (Farry) Morgan of Florida and Patricia (Farry) Beckley of Montana; a nephew, Timothy Farry of New York. She was also an aunt of the late Richard Farry. She leaves several great-nieces and great-nephews, and longtime friends.
