Matthew M. Powers Obituary
Matthew Michael Powers passed away at home Jan. 3, 2011. His loss is immeasurable, not only to his family, but to those who knew him. Fate intervened and prevented what could and should have been a marvelous and adventurous life. Mattie had a passion for music. He was an expert in the study of reptiles. Someday, had life given him the chance, he may have followed dreams to Africa and to parts unknown. Mattie was a recent and proud graduate of Northeastern University and was currently planning for his future endeavors. Matthew was the treasured son of Tracy and Joseph Powers; the loving brother of Katelyn Powers; and the best friend of his brother Joseph Powers. Matthew was the loving grandson of Camilla Powers and the late Joseph Powers Sr. and Walter and Florence Spencer. Funeral service in the Central Square Congregational Church, 71 Central Square, Bridgewater, Saturday, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours in the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater, Friday 4-8 p.m. In leiu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Matthew to NAWS (Narcotics Anonymous World Services), P.O.
