Paul A. Cretinon Obituary
Paul A. Cretinon, age 85, died peacefully at his home in Carver Jan. 12, 2011. He was the beloved son of the late George and Alice (Basler) Cretinon. He was educated in Kingston and enlisted in the U.S. Marines, where he proudly served during World War II. For most of his life, Mr. Cretinon worked as a self-employed farmer. He was a member of the Marshfield VFW Post, the Weymouth American Legion Post, the Plymouth Police Association, the Polish American Club in Abington, and had also worked as a carpenter and barber throughout the years. He enjoyed dancing and socializing. Mr. Cretinon is survived by his six daughters, Paula Martin of Maryville, Mo., Paulette Meinhold of Hanson, Pamela Haddock of Brockton, Patricia Hines of Whitman, Penny McDougall of Hanson and Peggy Bailey of Carver. He also leaves three brothers, Robert Cretinon of Minnesota, Richard Cretinon, and Roland Cretinon of Kingston; also three sisters, Pauline Lynch of Plymouth, Jean Coffin of Halifax and Suzanne Johnson of East Bridgewater. He was grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 17. A graveside service will take place Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Josephs Cemetery, Plymouth.
