Steven Eliot Westgate, 67, of Middleboro died Feb. 20, 2011, in Tobey Hospital, Wareham, following a period of declining health. He was born Oct. 5, 1943, in Taunton, the son of the late Russell and Dorothy (DeMoranville) Westgate. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Westgate worked as a commercial truck driver in the transportation industry. He was a member of the Central Congregational Church in Middleboro. A devoted family man, he also enjoyed the races at Seekonk Speedway and fishing. Beloved husband for 40 years of Cindy M. (Masters) Westgate, he was the devoted father of Steven Jr., Lisa, Michelle, Wanda and Jimmy; loving brother of Lawrence, Roger, Martha and the late Joyce. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Friday 5-8 p.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce St. (corner of School Street), Middleboro.
