Donald F. Soule, aged 59 years, formerly of Middleboro, passed away April 16, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. Don was the son of Albert F. Jr. and Thalia F. Soule of Middleboro. His most recent work was with the Seven Hills Foundation of Bourne, other former employers included the C.P. Washburn Co. and Toms Bait Shop of Middleboro, Monahan Enterprises of Taunton, and the United States Marine Corps. Don was a graduate of Middleboro High School, class of 1972, where he was an outstanding three sport athlete. He played Semi-pro football for the Middleboro Cobras for several years. Don loved his family, friends and animals, especially his dogs, Ralph, Malcolm, Oscar, and Myr. Survivors include his parents, two sons, Jeremy D. Soule and Levi D. Soule, both of Middleboro, a brother, Charles F. and his wife Susan Soule of Wareham, a sister, Carol E. and her husband Michael Carver of Middleboro, three grandchildren, Jeremy D. Soule Jr., William C. Soule, and Madison C. Soule, all of Middleboro, his niece, Jennifer C. and her husband Adam Ring of Middleboro, a nephew, Kristopher M. and his wife Shara Carver and their son, Wyatt of Belchertown, MA, two uncles, Charles E. and his wife Elna Soule of Nantucket, George M. and his wife Janet Soule of Middleboro, two aunts, Barbara S. Bigelow of Middleboro, Katherine F. Young of Greenville, SC. Don had been happily living with his companion Helen Crowell of Buzzards Bay for over 9 years. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 19, at the Unitarian Universalist Church, So. Main St., Middleboro, at noon, followed by a gathering at the Mitchell Memorial Club, Middleboro, from 1:30 | 4 p.m. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Egger Funeral Home, Middleboro.
