Karen Donohoe of Wisconsin, formerly of Brockton, passed away after a brief illness Sept. 7, 2013. Mrs. Donohoe was 62 years old. She was the wife of the late Patrick Donohoe; loving sister of John G. Poole and his wife Theresa of Easton. Karen is survived by her nine loving brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; as well as, several dear nieces and nephews; and an aunt, several uncles and a number of cousins. Karen was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Brockton. She was the daughter of the late Gardner and Grace Poole. She graduated from Brockton High School in 1969 and then went on to Brigham and Young University Nursing School in Utah. Mrs. Donohoe committed her life to her passion of nursing and eventually was elevated to the head of the Maternity Unit at the former Goddard Hospital in Stoughton, where she nursed newborns for many years. She enjoyed doll making and nature. Karen and her late husband Patrick loved gardening and bird watching. Mrs. Donohoe was committed to and proud of her Mormon faith. She will be loved and respected by all who knew her. A visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in West Bridgewater, 547 Manley St., West Bridgewater, Saturday, Sept. 14, after the visitation at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
