John Pelaquin

John Pelaquin Brockton John "Bird" Pelaquin, 50, lifelong of Brockton, died Oct. 29. A self-employed painter by trade, he also worked for Parasol Painters. He most enjoyed family outings, fishing, collecting antiques, sports and music and dancing at nightclubs. He was the beloved husband of Ginny (Dupree); loving father of Mellisa O'Donnell and Monica Pelaquin; stepfather of Jackie and Dawn Dupree and Mary Karner; grandfather of Nina and Brannon Fitzgerald and Alissa Maleski; brother of Marie Andrews, Stephen St. Don and Roberta Earner and Lee, Lucien and Robyn Safford and the late Cathy Simpson and Craig "Spike" Faria; uncle of many; close cousin of Tina Tevlin; and nephew of Roberta "Ducky" Pierce. All are welcome to calling hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, and funeral Friday at 8 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home to funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Edith Stein Parish.
