Eugenia Benson Obituary

Eugenia E. Benson of Wollaston passed away March 27, 2014. She was the loving daughter of the late Bernard and Anna (Bernard) Benson and was born in Boston, July 8, 1912. She worked for John Hancock Life Insurance Company for over 46 years in the Electronic Processing Department and retired in 1976. Eugenia was a member of Union Congregational Church in Wollaston. She was an avid oil painter, traveler and enjoyed needlepoint. Eugenia was predeceased by her siblings, Edward Bernard Benson and his wife Ruth M., Josephine B. Stees and her husband Hubert S., Robert Benson and his wife Beulah. Eugenia is survived by her cousins, Ruth and Gary Henderson of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; her nieces and nephews, Barbara M. Jordan of Rockland, Joann Warren of N.Y., William E. Stees of Del., the late Carl Edward Benson. Also survived by great-nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26, at 3 p.m. in the Union Congregational Church, 136 Rawson Rd., Wollaston. Donations in Eugenias memory may be made to Union Congregational Church.
