Violet E. Wheaton

Violet E. (Ogren) Wheaton of Weymouth, formerly of Houghs Neck, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 at South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth. She was 78 years of age. Beloved wife of the late John H. Wheaton. Devoted mother of Ronald H. Wheaton and his wife Maureen of Braintree and Glenn H. Wheaton and his wife Cheryl of Plymouth. Proud grandmother of Brian and his wife Maria, Matthew, Scott and his wife Tracy, Michael and Bianca. Also survived by her great-grandson Chase and her niece Linda. Violet was raised and educated in the Houghs Neck section of Quincy and had lived in Weymouth since 1957. She worked as a secretary for Dorothy Osborne Insurance in Quincy, Atlantic Mutual Insurance in Braintree and in earlier years for Boston Gas. She was a longtime member of the Viking Club in Quincy and she enjoyed bowling and baking cookies for all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday evening 4:00-8:00 p.m. and funeral services Wednesday morning at 10:30 in the NORTH WEYMOUTH McDonald Funeral Home at 40 Sea St., (off Rte 3A at Bicknell Sq).
