Daniel J. Ghergurovich

Daniel J. Ghergurovich, 24, of Scituate, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014, at his home. He was the beloved son of Jean Cwiklo Ghergurovich of Scituate and Frank Ghergurovich of Charlestown; cherished brother of Megan Ghergurovich of Scituate. He was the grandson of Giuseppe and Yolanda Ghergurovich of East Boston and the late Frank and Stella Cwiklo of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. Danny is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Dannys happiest moments were with his family and friends and his beloved dogs, Forty and Beau. He was an avid Boston sports fan and loved playing hockey. He was a great friend to all, had a wonderfully caring heart and a talent for making people laugh. Danny will be fondly remembered for his friendly hello and striking up conversations as he walked his dog, Forty. His short life touched many and he had true compassion for others. Danny was a 2008 graduate of Scituate High School, where he played hockey (goalie) and received the Most Valuable Player Award. He pursued a Welding Certificate from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. Dannys favorite job by far was his recent position at Galley in Scituate Harbor. He loved waking up for work and said he laughed the whole day. He was treated like family there, and for that, his family is truly thankful. Visiting hours will be Thursday, June 5, in the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd., Scituate, from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. A funeral service will be celebrated in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St., Scituate, Friday, June 6, at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dannys name may be made to the Scituate CORSE Foundation (Community of Resources for Special Education), P.O. Box 512, North Scituate, MA 02060.
