Dina Josephine (Cellini) DeLuca, age 91, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Quincy Medical Center, Friday, April 19, 2013. Loving wife of 66 years of Mario C. DeLuca of Quincy, Massachusetts. Born in Supino, Italy on September 17, 1921, Mrs. DeLuca was the daughter of the late Antonio and Domenica (Gatti) Cellini. A long time resident of Quincy, Dina graduated from Quincy High School, class of 1939. Survived by beloved sister Rose Praetsch and Alian Iannachero and the late Augusta Brunet, Anthony Cellini, Daniel Cellini and Joseph Cellini. Devoted mother of Dana DeLuca and wife Susan of Westwood, MA, Daryl J. DeLuca of Boston, MA, David DeLuca and wife Margaret Joyce of Nottingham, NH, Dina M. DeLuca and husband Dennis J. Tinney of Quincy, MA and Daniel DeLuca and wife Emily Lowell of Aurora, ME. Loving and attentive grandmother of ten, Michael, Diana, Amy, Danielle, Domenica, Davio, Haley, Laddy, Max and Ruby and great-grandmother of one, Drea Mae. Dina worked at Marshards Music as secretary to Vaughn Munroe. She also worked as a book keeper at Bonwit Teller, Goldies Salvage and as a customer service representative at NFPA in Braintree. Dina was a talented artist of needlepoint, china painting and stained glass. She loved decorating, shopping and traveling. She loved cooking, strawberry, blueberry and mushroom picking. She also enjoyed spending summers with her children and grandchildren at her lake house where she loved to garden, spending time in the outdoors and preparing meals for large family gatherings. She was famous for her Saturday night homemade pizza. She made jam, bread and wonderful Italian meals on Sunday. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday April 24 at 11am in the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin St., Quincy. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
