Harlan C. Jeffery

Harlan C. Jeffery, of Hingham, formerly of Randolph, passed away February 16th at the age of 91. Born, raised, and educated in Portland, ME, Harlan worked for Thompson Wire in Mattapan and also as a custodian at Randolph High School. Sgt. Harlan C. Jeffery survived the Battle of Iwo Jima and earned 2 Purple Hearts and a Silver Star as a US Marine during WWII. He enjoyed taking trips to Mohegan Sun and Las Vegas with his wife, Lillian, as well as gardening and various crafts. Everyone who knew Harlan will miss his infectious laugh and sense of humor. Beloved husband of late Lillian I. (Dockendorff) Jeffery. Loving father of Carol Ann Jeffery of Middleboro, Laura Topham and her late husband Edmund Teddy of Randolph, and Valerie Parise and her husband Aldo of Canton. Devoted brother of Frederick Jeffery of ME, Della Knezienski of CA, and the late Harry Jeffery. Cherished grandfather of Kristin, Melissa, Denise and the late Andrew. Also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28) Randolph, Friday at 9am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm. Interment MA National Cemetery, Bourne. Late US Marine WWII Veteran.
